Performs the following duties of the Professional Registered Nurse in Progressive Care Unit in the acute hospital setting. Responsible for the delivery of safe, therapeutic and cost effective nursing care. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the following patient care populations: geriatrics, adult, adolescent and pediatric. Primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate and cost effective nursing care. Participates as a collaborative member of theFloridaHospitalFish Memorial healthcare team. Demonstrates effective use and support of the FHFM Superior Service Standards within the hospital and clinical setting. Responsible to adhere to the Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Corporate Compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current registration with Florida State Board of Examiners or licensed in another state awaiting results ofFlorida registration. Completion of a Basic and Advance EKG program required. Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A current Advanced Life Support card is preferred. Demonstrates good use of the English language in the verbal and written form. Two years of previous hospital experience in the progressive care setting or equivalent is preferred.
