Description
This specifically trained nurse provides intensive observation and care of patients following operative and invasive procedures for which an anesthetic agent has been required. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with age specific needs of the following patient populations: Geriatrics, Adults, Adolescents, Neonates and Pediatric. Promotes an effective team environment of collaborative healthcare givers providing quality care to the patients of FLORIDA HOSPITAL Fish Memorial. Responsible to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Understands the Computerized Physician Order Entry process and proficiently uses the electronic medical records for retrieval of patient information. Understands computer downtime. Monitor Electronic Medical Record for new physician orders and diagnostic results.
Qualifications
Must Be Extremely Flexible! Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current registered nurse license with the Florida State Board of Examiners "Must be proficient in English". Requires current hospital PACU or critical care experience. One (1) to two (2) years of general nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably in PACU and/or Critical Care. CPAN, CAPA or CCRN Certification preferred. BLS required. ACLS strongly recommended, PALS strongly recommended.
