Description
This specifically trained nurse assists the physician in the procedures of Endoscopy. Responsibilities include the planning, administering and supervising the nursing activities on the patient undergoing Endoscopy procedures; also participates in the holding and PACU work areas. Responsible to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Understands the Computerized Physician Order Entry process and proficiently uses the electronic medical records for retrieval of patient information. Understands computer downtime. Monitor Electronic Medical Record for new physician orders and diagnostic results.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current registered nurse license with the Florida State Board of Examiners. One (1) to two (2) years of general nursing experience in an acute care setting. Two (2) to three (3) years in the required specialty. BLS & ACLS required, SGNA certification preferred.
